Requirements for Private Water Service

PLEASE NOTE THAT FAILURE TO PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS MAY RESULT IN DELAY IN THE PROCESSING OF YOUR APPLICATION FOR PWS.

 

Local

  1. One (1) valid picture ID of the Applicant (National ID, Passport, Driver’s Licence).
  2. Proof of property ownership or authorisation to occupy the land (Deed of Conveyance, Statutory Declaration).
  3. Completed Application Form.
  4. Completed Responsibility Agreement Form – for cases where the Applicant is not the owner and becomes responsible for any charges incurred on the Property.
  5. Where water lines are to be laid on Property owned by someone other than the Applicant, the Applicant must provide:
    1. Written permission from the Owner;
    2. This document must be notarised; and
    3. A copy of a valid Picture ID from the Owner.
  6. Where the land is owned by the Government of Grenada, the Applicant must provide a letter from the Ministry of Agriculture, Lands and Survey indicating the existence of a Lease Agreement and the terms thereof.

Out of State

1.  If Applicant is the Owner of Property

  • The application form can be downloaded from our website.
  • The completed form, together with a copy of the ownership document (Title Deed/Conveyance, Letter of Administration/Will/Probate, and Statutory Declaration etc.) and a picture ID can be emailed to the Authority. 
  • A letter from Owner authorizing applicant to apply on his/her behalf
  • A copy of the ownership document (Title Deed/Conveyance, Letter of Administration/Will/Probate, and Statutory Declaration etc.)
  • Owner’s picture ID
  • The application form can be completed and signed by the authorized person
  • A copy of the authorized person’s picture ID
  • The application form can be completed and signed/stamped by the Contractor
  • A copy of the contract document or letter from the Contractor
  • The application form can be downloaded from our website.
  • The completed form, together with any supporting documents (as outlined on the application form) and a picture ID can be emailed to the Authority

2.  If Applicant is applying on behalf of the Owner

NB:  Since the Contractor is not the owner, he/she will be required to pay a Security Deposit of $340.00.  This deposit will be refunded to the Contractor once the project is completed and the account is transferred to the owner’s name.
