Terms of Use

Last updated: 9 October 2026

1 About these terms

This website, www.nawasa.gd, is run by the National Water and Sewerage Authority
(“NAWASA”, “we”, “us”), a statutory body established under the National Water and
Sewerage AuthorityAct, Cap. 208.

These terms set out the rules for using the website. By using it, you agree to them. If you
do not agree, please do not use the website.

These terms cover the website only. Your water and sewerage service is governed by the
National Water and Sewerage AuthorityAct, its Regulations and our Terms and Conditions
of Service. If anything on this website differs from those, they take priority. Our Customer
Charter sets out the service standards we aim to meet.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information.

2 Using this website

You may use this website for lawful purposes: to find information about NAWASA and our
services, to report problems, and to get in touch with us.

You must not:

  • try to gain unauthorised access to the website, the servers that host it or any NAWASA system;
  • interfere with or disrupt the website, or introduce viruses or other harmful code;
  • use automated tools to copy content in a way that overloads or impairs the website;
  • submit information you know to be false, including hoax reports, or pretend to be
    someone else;
  • send material that is abusive, threatening, defamatory or unlawful; or
  • use the website’s forms to send advertising or other unsolicited messages.

Some of these acts are criminal offences under the Electronic Crimes Act, 2013 and other
laws of Grenada. We may block access to the website and report misuse to the police.

If you find a security weakness in this website, please tell us at nawasa@nawasa.gd so
that we can fix it.

3 The information on this site

We work to keep the information on this website accurate and up to date, but we cannot
guarantee that it is always complete, current or free of errors. It is general information, not professional advice.

In particular:

  • Rates and charges. The rates, fees and charges that apply to you are those set by law. If a figure on this website differs from the Water and Sewerage Rates and Charges Regulations currently in force, the Regulations apply.
  • Legislation. Copies of, and links to, Acts and Regulations are provided for convenience. The official versions published by the Government of Grenada are the authoritative ones.
  • Response times. The times shown on this website and in our Customer Charter are the standards we work to. They are not guarantees, and they can be affected by weather, emergencies and other events beyond our control.
  • Water quality and conservation guidance. This is general guidance. If you have a specific concern about the water at your property, please contact us.
  • Projects and plans. Descriptions, costs and timelines of projects are subject to change.
  • Forms and documents. Please make sure you are using the current version from this website or from one of our offices.

If you notice an error on the website, please let us know.

4Service updates and notices

We aim to post planned works, interruptions and other notices on this website as soon as we reasonably can. Please bear in mind:

  • Restoration times are estimates, and they may change as work progresses.
  • An area that is not listed may still be affected, because we may not yet know about the problem.
  • This website is one of several channels we use. Urgent public notices, including boil-water notices, may also be issued by radio, television and social media, so please do not rely on the website alone.

This website is not an emergency service. Our online forms, email and social media pages are not monitored around the clock. For a burst main, a road washing away or water off across a whole area, call our emergency line on 292.

5Bills and payments

This website explains how and where you can pay your bill. We do not currently take payments through the website itself.

  • Payments made through a bank, credit union, payment agent or online banking service are handled by that institution under its own terms, fees and processing times.
  • A payment made through a third party may take time to reach your NAWASA account. Please allow for this when you pay close to your due date. You remain responsible for making sure your bill is paid on time.
  • Keep your receipt or confirmation number until the payment appears on your account. If it does not appear, contact us with those details and we will help trace it.
  • Your bill, not this website, shows what we have charged you. If you think a bill is wrong, please contact us.
  • Pay only through the channels listed on our Payment Options and Payment Locations pages.

If we introduce online payments, additional terms will apply and we will show them to you before you pay.

6Forms and what you send us

When you send us a report, request, application or message:

  • give information that is accurate and complete, including contact details we can reach you on;
  • make sure you are entitled to share the information and documents you send, including anything about other people; and
  • take photos only if it is safe to do so.

Sending a form does not mean that we have accepted your request, or that work will be carried out by a particular time. An application is complete only when we have received every document and charge that applies and have confirmed it. Submitting a form does not by itself create a contract for service.

Technical faults can occasionally stop a form or message from reaching us. If you have not heard from us within 5 working days, please call us.

You allow us to use what you send, including photos, to deal with your report or request, to keep a record of it, and as set out in our Privacy Policy. We may reply by phone, email or WhatsApp using the details you give us.

Please do not use online forms or WhatsApp to send legal notices or formal legal documents. Deliver those in writing to our Headquarters, at the address in section 13.

7Copyright and use of our material

Unless we say otherwise, the content of this website, including its text, photographs, graphics, video and documents, and the NAWASA name and logo belong to NAWASA or are used with the owner’s permission. They are protected by the copyright and other intellectual property laws of Grenada.

You may:

  • view, download and print pages and documents for personal, educational or other non-commercial use; and
  • share our service notices, press releases and public information, as long as you do not alter them and you credit NAWASA as the source.

You need our written permission to:

  • use our content for commercial purposes;
  • alter our content or present it in a misleading way; or
  • use the NAWASA name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you or are connected with you.

Legislation and other material produced by third parties remain the property of their owners.

8Links to other websites

This website links to sites run by others, such as banks, government bodies, partner organisations and social media platforms. We provide these links for convenience. We do not control those sites or endorse them, and we are not responsible for their content, availability or security. Their own terms apply when you use them.

You may link to this website, provided you do so fairly and do not suggest that we endorse you or your services. Please do not display our pages inside a frame on another site.

9Availability

We aim to keep this website available at all times, but we cannot guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors. We may suspend, withdraw or change all or part of it without notice, for maintenance, for security or for reasons beyond our control.

We take steps to keep the website free of viruses and other harmful code, but we cannot guarantee this. You are responsible for protecting your own device, for example by keeping your browser and security software up to date.

We want everyone to be able to use this website. If you have difficulty using any part of it, or need information in another format, contact us and we will help.

If the website is unavailable, you can still reach us by phone or at any of our offices.

10Limitation of liability

We provide this website as a public information service, on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent the law allows:

  • we give no warranty, express or implied, about the website or its content, including its accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose; and
  • we are not liable for any loss or damage, including indirect or consequential loss, arising from your use of the website or your inability to use it, from relying on its content, from websites we link to, from viruses or other harmful code, or from a form or message that does not reach us because of a technical fault.

Nothing in these terms:

  • limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under the laws of Grenada, including liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence; or
  • affects your rights, or our responsibilities, as your water and sewerage provider under the National Water and Sewerage Authority Act, its Regulations or our Terms and Conditions of Service. Liability relating to the service itself is governed by those, not by these terms.

11Governing law

These terms, and any dispute arising from them or from your use of this website, are governed by the laws of Grenada. The courts of Grenada have exclusive jurisdiction.

If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest continue to apply. If we do not enforce a term on one occasion, we may still enforce it later.

12Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when they were last changed. Changes take effect when they are posted, and by continuing to use the website you accept the updated terms.
